BTC pinned at $80K · Fed week · Brent $110
Tape as of 7:48am CT · Hyperliquid perps + HIP-3 · Coinglass · Farside · 24h
📣The slate
- BTC lost 80K Saturday, took it back Sunday. Nobody cared either way.
- Fed week. Everybody's flat into it.
- Oil cooling, still disgusting.
- Zcash green again. Relative strength won't quit.
- ENA is the only alt with a pulse.
- Memes alive-ish. Useless living up to the name.
- Memory names still printing. SK Hynix the TL's favorite chart.
- ETF money left Thursday and Friday. Bears think that's a trend.
📉The tape
Flat. Aggressively flat. BTC dipped to the 79s Saturday, first sub-80K print since Oct 15, and spent Sunday walking it back. ETH did nothing. SOL, HYPE and ZEC caught a small bid, and that's the whole weekend.
| Perp | Price | 24h | OI | Funding/8h |

| HYPE | 77.38 | +1.33% | $1.61B | 0.0100% |
| ZEC | 1,240 | +2.67% | $599M | 0.0100% |
💥 REKT 24h $155M70% longs12h $85M4h $14M1h $4.7M
Liquidations (24h): $155M total, $108M longs vs $47M shorts. ETH longs $27.9M, BTC longs $24.9M, SOL $3.2M, ZEC $2.2M longs vs $2.8M shorts, HYPE under half a million. Last 4h: shorts getting hit more than longs.
Mood: coiled. Funding pinned at baseline on every major, nobody paying up for either side, and the whole market is waiting on Wednesday's Fed.
🏦Macro
Yields eased into the week, oil backed off, and nobody is buying the "relief" story. WTI $101.19 (−1.8%), Brent $110.18 (−0.8%) with the Iran war still running, so "down" here means down from insane. Gold $4,022 (+0.8%) holding the 4K handle, silver $54.10 (+0.8%), natgas −2.2%. The FOMC meets Tue–Wed with $100+ crude in the CPI pipe, and the Fed gets to pretend it controls the price of a barrel.

HIP-3 stock 24h spans Friday's cash session plus the weekend.
₿Bitcoin
- Range: 79.1K Saturday low to back above 80K. Second time this month 80 has held. Lose 79 and the 74–75K crowd gets their moment.
- ETF flows (Farside): −$635.6M Thu (IBIT −254, FBTC −218), −$137.9M Fri. The week still netted +$301M after +$527M Mon and +$525M Wed. Bears forgot the first half of the week.
- Positioning: Hyperliquid OI $3.39B, funding 0.01%, $1.8B of volume. No leverage to flush in either direction. Wednesday decides.

- ENA $0.207, +6.6% on $52M volume, OI $97M. Top gainer on the board with real size. No headline behind it; it's a short-covering chart.
- NEAR $4.57, +2.5% on $125M volume and $272M OI. Most-traded alt after ZEC and HYPE.
- LIT $3.10, −2.5%. Still bleeding after Friday's leg down. Perp-DEX token in a perp-DEX world, and losing.
- XMR $594, −2.2% while ZEC is green. The privacy trade is one coin.
- VVV $24.69 flat, MON funding negative (−0.0145%), STRK −2.1%. Nothing.

Memes green, barely. Small bid across the category, PEPE and Useless the exceptions. PUMP is the only meme perp with real OI ($113M, $47M volume), so it's the sector's leverage proxy.
Trenches: the launchpad fight is still bonk.fun vs pump.fun, and bonk.fun has been reported ahead on launches and revenue (single source, Sept). PUMP buybacks are the only thing keeping a floor.
🛡Zcash
- $1,240, +2.7% from 1,208. Up on a flat BTC day, again. Looks great.
- OI $599M, $300M volume, the busiest alt on Hyperliquid. Funding 0.01%. Liqs $2.8M shorts vs $2.2M longs: shorts paying.
- Zcon7 starts tomorrow (Oct 27–29, Cancún), Zcash turns 10 on Wednesday. Shielded pool ~30% of supply; Crosslink PoS work ongoing. A conference plus a birthday plus Fed day. Volatility is guaranteed.
💧HYPE / Hyperliquid
- $77.38, +1.3%, funding 0.01%, OI $1.61B, $288M volume. HYPE liqs under $0.5M on the day. Nobody's levered here.
- HIP-3 is still the venue: Nasdaq-100 $248M, S&P $197M, SK Hynix $172M, WTI $159M, Brent $131M over a weekend. SKHX funding 0.14%/8h: longs paying through the nose to hold a Korean memory stock on a crypto DEX.
🤖AI & pre-IPO
- Anthropic perp $1,917 (+1.5%, OI $49M, funding 0.019%). OpenAI perp $1,430 (+0.2%, OI $7M). The gap is 34% and widening; the market has picked a side.
- SPCX $148.14 (+0.2%), listed, still 10% over the $135 IPO.
- Chip tape: memory and Korea leading (SKHX, SNDK, MU), NVDA lagging at +0.6%, CRWV −3.2%. Neocloud names still the weak link.
- Headlines (mid-Oct): Anthropic cut Haiku 5.5 prices 90%; OpenAI shipped parallel agents in GPT-6 Astra Pro; Huang floated chipmakers cutting off "unsafe" AI developers. Price war plus a chip vendor playing referee.
🗞Headlines
- BTC under $80K for the first time since Oct 15 on Saturday (79,146), bought back Sunday. Weekend wick. Shrug.
- Spot BTC ETFs bled $773M in two sessions Thu–Fri, biggest day out since June. Still net positive on the week. Noise.
- FOMC Tue–Wed with Brent at $110 and the Iran war unresolved. Asia sold into it overnight. Fed week.
- Busiest week of Q3 earnings starts today, megacaps included. Futures green anyway. Bullish.
- Anthropic slashes Haiku 5.5 prices 90% (mid-Oct). AI price war goes nuclear. Margins.
- Huang: chipmakers could cut off unsafe AI labs (mid-Oct, single source). Nvidia appoints itself regulator. Wild.
- Robinhood distributing Crypto.com's OG.com event contracts (Sept), prediction-market volume on Kalshi + Polymarket past $130B this year. Casino.
